Spring Programs

Abby - Spring Orchestra Concert
Our family spent Wednesday night at the Jr. High enjoying the music of the Sinfonia Orchestra. Abby plays 2nd violin and has become quite good. The concert consisted of the beginner group, the intermediate group (Abby's group) and the Chamber Orchestra. They have had several concerts this year, and have improved by miles. Abby recently auditioned for the Chamber Orchestra - she will find out soon if she has improved enough to advance for next year. Cross your fingers for her... **Update: We found out yesterday that Abby did indeed advance to Chamber Orchestra for her 8th Grade year!! Way to Go, Girl!!
Natalie and Miss Lacey

Natalie had her spring program at preschool this last week. They "read" the audience the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Natalie jumped right up when it was her turn for her line and practically ate the microphone as she repeated "On Tuesday, he ate through two pears..." They also sang several songs, one of which was "I'm Being Eatin' By A Boa Constrictor". Kim and I had to grin as we watched Natalie try and say "boa constrictor" with each new line....although it may have sounded right to her, we could tell that those were not the words coming out of her mouth! She posed for pictures afterwards with her student teacher, Miss Lacey, who Natalie just adores. Miss Lacey also works at Target and so every time we go to the store, she is the first one to spot her checkout lane and make sure we use that one. She loves school and still asks EVERYDAY if it's a school day.
