I may be the only person in the United States that hadn't read this book....my sister in law recently loaned it to me. I had set it aside until yesterday and I have to admit that I only put it down to sleep last night. If you are in need of a great book, one of the best I have ever read, pick this book up. I can't say enough about it, and am so glad that I read it before I saw the movie. The messages in the book are life changing -

I loved that book, too. My dad read about it on amazon.com and decided to buy it and read it. He ended up chucking it. I am not sure what turned him off, it may have been the graphic scene. For me it was real life, heart breaking, sad. For him it was just too much. I have to be careful what I recommend to him.
I need to read this book again.
I haven't read the book yet but I did see the movie. I loved it! It was all in subtitles though which is good because it forces you to really pay attention. Have you seen the movie yet? I wonder how it compares to the book.
